LASER THERAPIES
Laser therapies are short and concentrated light beams that are used to target skin imperfections, stimulate collagen growth, and promote skin renewal. Laser therapies work by targeting various pigments within the skin, super-heating them to induce a very controlled 'injury' to the skin. This invokes the body’s natural healing mechanisms to stimulate skin rejuvenation.
How LASER THERAPIES work
Skin discolouration is likely to be caused by various light absorbing particles (chromophores) that occur naturally under the skin. Examples of chromophores are melanin (pigmentation, hair), and hemoglobin (blood vessels).
Lasers of a single-unique wavelength can precisely target and destroy specific chromophores that are causing the underlying conditions, without damaging the surrounding skin structures.

Types of LASER THERAPIES
After a consultation with our aesthetic doctor, these are various LASER THERAPIES types that we offer
PIGMENTAL REMOVAL LASERS
Pigment removal lasers, such as picosecond lasers, use wavelengths that target melanin in the skin. Lasers emitted at this specific wavelength are able to fragment pigment or ink particles into smaller particles, which are then removed by the skin’s immune system.
VASCULAR LASERS
Vascular lasers, such as the 589nm pure yellow laser, utilise wavelenghts that target red pigment in the blood vessels, this destroys the blood vessels to visibly reduce skin redness. Again immune cells in the skin removes the fragmented particles.
