HOW IT WORKS

Our dual wavelength laser treatment combines both pure yellow (589nm) and infrared (1319nm) lasers for a comprehensive approach towards addressing acne, hyperpigmentation, and vascular conditions.

Pure yellow
laser

With a penetration depth of up to 1.25mm, this wavelength is preferentially absorbed by oxyhemoglobin, which helps in addressing vascular conditions and reducing skin redness commonly associated with rosacea1.

The wavelength also effectively targets skin pigment and cutibacterium acnes (c-acnes), which commonly occupies hair follicles and sebaceous glands, leading to acne breakouts.

Infrared
laser

Penetrating up to a depth of 2mm, this wavelength is preferentially absorbed by water molecules in our body, effectively minimizing burns and making it safer for individuals with darker skin tones.

It also stimulates fibroblasts and promotes
collagen production for non-ablative skin
resurfacing, while also providing a thermal impact to
sebaceous glands to regulate oil and sebum production.

Combining both wavelengths therefore provides a synergistic effect which helps to address acne2 and hyperpigmentation3 while providing non-ablative skin resurfacing—all in a single treatment that is safe for all skin types.

Impact Zone

IMPACT
ZONE

Zone 1 - 0 to 1 mm depth Targeted by both the 589nm and 1319nm wavelengths to help neocollagenesis, neoelastinogenesis, as well as epidermal and dermal remodeling.

Zone 2 - 1 to 2 mm depth Targeted by the 1319nm wavelength to help dermal remodeling by inducing neocollagenesis and neoelastinogenesis.

Dual-delivery
HANDPIECE

Featuring a sapphire tip for
passive cooling to enhance patient
comfort, the treatment handpiece delivers both the 589nm and 1319nm wavelengths and allows our doctor to choose between a single spot or fractionated delivery.

This provides the flexibility for the treatment
to be customised according to an individual’s
skin condition and specific concern.

FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS

  • I have active acne.
Can I still undergo this treatment?

Yes. Our dual wavelength laser treatment is recommended for those with active acne, as the 589nm pure yellow wavelength helps to target cutibacterium acnes (c-acnes), which is the main cause behind breakouts.

Our doctors will also have a pre-treatment consultation to further assess if there are any contraindications which would prevent you from undergoing the treatment.

  • How many sessions are required
and how fast can I see results?

While most patients can see some immediate improvements after the first session, a minimum of three treatment sessions, spaced three to five weeks apart, is usually recommended for optimal and longer lasting results.

  • How long does a treatment session take?

Each treatment session takes around 50 mins, including a pre-treatment consultation with our doctor.

  • Is the treatment painful?

Most patients find the treatment comfortable, with minimal pain and/or discomfort. However, upon request, numbing cream can also be applied prior to treatment to minimize the possibility of discomfort.

  • What is the expected downtime after treatment?

Downtime is minimal, and most patients can resume their daily activities after treatment. However, in some cases, patients may present with erythema (skin redness) that goes away within a day.

Following treatment, patients are encouraged to avoid sun exposure for at least 24 hours.
